About the workplace

Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest non-profit hospital with a clear value foundation – to see the person. With roots dating back to 1851, we have provided healthcare in Stockholm, but we welcome patients from all over the country. Here we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and expertise.

The Surgery and Anesthesia Clinic specializes in advanced surgery within upper and lower GI as well as abdominal wall surgery. In our surgical departments, which also include an admission unit, we receive patients both before and after surgery. The care is planned, structured, and follows standardized care pathways.

The care departments are located close to both the Surgical Outpatient Clinic, Operation, and Postoperative/ICU, which makes patient flow simple and collaboration between professions smooth. The workgroup in our surgical departments is stable, experienced, and collaborates well, which is reflected in excellent results in both patient surveys and our employee surveys. We organize regular training sessions where we delve into various themes together.
